This Privacy Policy explains what personal data EMW Provisions (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you visit or shop at emwprovisions.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We’ve written it to reflect what this site actually does, not a generic template.
Who we are
EMW Provisions is based in Dubno Region, Rivne Oblast, Ukraine. You can reach us at [email protected] or +380 93 862 42 26 with any question about this policy or your personal data.
Because we sell to customers across Europe, we aim to handle personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), even though we are not established in the EU ourselves.
Information we collect
Account and order information. When you place an order or create an account, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and details of the products you’ve ordered. This is handled by WooCommerce, the software that runs our store.
Payment information. Card and payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (WooPayments). We do not see or store your full card number on our own servers.
Checkout and cart information. If you start checking out but don’t complete your order, we may capture the email address you entered so we can send you a follow-up reminder about your cart. You can unsubscribe from these reminders at any time using the link in the email.
Newsletter and contact forms. If you subscribe to our newsletter or use a contact form on the site, we collect the email address (and any other details, such as your name or message) that you provide.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our server and cookies automatically collect some technical information: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the language you browse the site in.
How we use your information
We use the information above to: process and fulfil your orders; communicate with you about your order or account; respond to questions sent through our contact form; send cart-recovery reminders and, where you’ve opted in, newsletter emails; keep the store secure and prevent fraud; and understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use three broad categories:
Strictly necessary — used to keep your cart and checkout working, keep you logged in to your account, and protect the store against fraud and abuse. These cannot be switched off, because the store would not function without them.
Functional — used to remember your language and currency preference (set through the language and currency switcher in the header) and to power the on-site chat widget.
Analytics — used, where enabled, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We do not currently run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can choose which categories of cookies to allow using the cookie banner shown the first time you visit, and change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Third-party services we use
Some features of this site are provided by other companies, who process personal data on our behalf or as independent controllers:
WooPayments — processes your payment when you check out.
GTranslate / Google — powers the language switcher. If you translate a page, the page text is sent to Google’s translation service. See Google’s privacy policy for details of how Google handles this data.
Chaty — powers the chat bubble in the corner of the site, so your messages to us through it are processed by Chaty’s infrastructure.
SureForms / SureMail — handle the contact and newsletter-signup forms and deliver the resulting emails to us.
Antispam Bee — filters spam submissions; it’s designed to do this without sending your data to external servers.
International data transfers
Some of the providers listed above (for example Google, via GTranslate) are based outside Ukraine and the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your data.
How long we keep your data
We keep order and account information for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and warranty purposes, and to handle any disputes. Newsletter subscriber emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Abandoned-cart emails are kept only long enough to send the recovery reminder, then deleted.
Your rights
Under GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; restrict or object to certain processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time (for example, by changing your cookie or newsletter preferences).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), two-factor authentication for our administrators, and regular backups — to protect the data we hold.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top when we do.
