Overview
The Avis Hydrator Backpanel is a low-profile backpanel pouch with capacity for two liters of water. There is an internal sleeve to secure a hydration bladder with pass through for the drinking hose. The remaining space in the main compartment can be used to store various tools and equipment. The sides of the pouch are lined with shock cord in order to compress the pouch to a smaller size and also to carry a flag or route cables. There is a hook-and loop field at the top for patches and Molle interface across the remaining surface to attach other pouches if desired.
From the EMW Team:
As far as sustaining yourself in the field, water is at a premium. A hydration bladder is a great, unobtrusive, hands free way to carry your water. Being able to take a sip without the distraction of pulling out a bottle, unscrewing a cap and putting it all back in its place is a huge advantage, especially in my role as a medic. It gets very hot in the back of the vehicle, especially when your transporting a patient in shock because we have to crank up the heat to prevent hypothermia. During an evac, we almost never have time or hands available to drink from a water bottle, but a quick nip from the bladder is easy and keeps your mind on the patient, not on your thirst.
