The Malva Ammunition Standard IFAK This is the classic, spacious and easily recognisable Standard IFAK

Sometimes familiarity and no-nonsense design is exactly what you want. Especially for people that work in non-combat roles or civilian volunteering roles this is the classic that everyone went through stop the bleed courses with. Especially in a civilian volunteer setting these are THE standard IFAK that you don’t need to explain to anyone around you. the tear-off panel also makes it ideal as a secondary IFAK you can toss at a friend in need.

Features

• A LOT of space, you can fit probably close to 2 IFAKs in there.
• A Velcro panel on the top for a patch, if it wasn’t already obvious enough that this is, in fact an IFAK.
• An adjustable fastener, so if you decide to not fill it all the way it will still sit snugly.
• A Very stylish Malva red cross patch
• Elastic bands for organising larger items like pressure bandages, TQs
• A pocket for things like chest seals, space blankets and hand warmers

Personally I used standard IFAKs for everything the first 2 years I spent in Ukraine, they are the IFAK everyone used during training, everyone knows what they look like and how they work. my preference nowadays go out to the roll IFAK since it fits better with my already overly kitted body armour. But if I’m taking anyone that doesn’t have their own kit to a potentially dangerous area, the standard IFAK is what I’m giving them. because everyone is already familiar with them. that’s why you see them regularly attached to headrests,attached to backpacks, sliding around on the dashboards of cars (Which is where the idea of the VFAK came from) as IFAKs attached to your belt or body armour they seem to be falling out of favour with the high speed guys, and I can see why. But I doubt they will ever fully be replaced because of the familiarity everyone has with them.
