Overview
The Malva Ammunition War Belt LBE System is a High-Quality Belt kit, Also known as a load bearing system or RPS in these parts. An infantryman’s favourite, allowing you to carry a lot of weight on your hips and offering valuable shrapnel protection when fitted with soft armour. In an un-armoured reconnaissance role these would be great too, though nobody really leaves position without body armour over here.
From the EMW Team:
Personally I have only used an RPS during training but will still offer my thoughts on it: It’s more comfortable than a war belt and you forget it exists after a while, it allows you to attach a huge amount of magazines, grenades, pouches on your belt. the belt is a much better place to attach a lot of this than a backpack, if you even need one after filling all the MOLLE spaces on this belt. but personally I use heavy body armour and am mostly vehicle based. in this situation its less practical.
Why are they so popular in Ukraine:
- Shrapnel protection
- Going prone is a lot easier if your ammo isn’t mounted to the front of your plate carrier
- Its a lot easier on your spine if the weight is nicely spread on your hips rather than all on a plate carrier or backpack.
- When ditching your backpack, you don’t want to be ditching essential items.
